Knowledge Management Resources

This collection includes a synthesis of knowledge management activities from the 2018 International Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit and a results summary from a pilot survey carried out there. It also includes three entries from the CLA Case Competition on: 1) using knowledge management typologies to foster networks and situational awareness, 2) the value of “Pause and Reflect” during the field support scoping visit process, and 3) an innovative exercise to integrate SBC methods.

3 2017 Breakthrough ACTION Using knowledge management typologies to foster networks and situational awareness This 2017 CLA Case Competition entry describes a training carried out in Tanzania to introduce Jhpiego staff to the concept of knowledge management (KM) personality types, or typologies, with the intent of improving the office’s knowledge sharing culture by making KM more personal and accessible. 4 2018 Breakthrough ACTION Field Support Scoping Visit Process: The Value of “Pause and Reflect” This 2018 CLA Case Competition entry describes the development of a scoping process and supporting tools that systematically and strategically incorporated “pause and reflect” techniques. 5 2018 Breakthrough ACTION Innovative Exercise to Integrate Social and Behavior Change Methods This 2018 CLA Case Competition entry describes how Breakthrough ACTION compiled the different methodological approaches used by each project partner in an inventory tool and developed a methods integration card game based on that inventory. The ideas resulting from this exercise were then used to propose health and methods integration in response to USAID Mission scopes of work. Download Resource
