Please join the Breakthrough ACTION and Breakthrough RESEARCH projects for a discussion on informing social and behavior change (SBC) programs using social media monitoring and listening.

During this webinar, presenters will provide an overview of social media monitoring and social listening as well as its useful application to inform a youth-led mass and social media campaign currently implemented in Francophone West Africa called “Merci Mon Héros.” Presenters will share findings and lessons learned from these innovative methodologies and their application for adaptive management and evaluation of SBC campaigns. This webinar will inform partners implementing activities for family planning in Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, and Togo and those who wish to learn more about social listening methodologies and their application for public health.

Presenters:
Jonathan Walker, Director of Intelligence, North America, M&C Saatchi
Cynthia Irakoze, Program Specialist, Breakthrough ACTION
Martha Silva, Data Strategist and Innovation Team Lead, Breakthrough RESEARCH

Breakthrough ACTION + RESEARCH are the United States Agency for International Development’s flagship projects for SBC implementation (Breakthrough ACTION) and research and evaluation (Breakthrough RESEARCH). We support countries to increase the practices of priority health behaviors for improved health and development outcomes. Both projects work in partnership with governments, civil society and communities around the world to implement creative and sustainable SBC programming, advocate for strategic and sustained investment in SBC, and equip stakeholders with the data and evidence they need to integrate proven and cost-effective SBC approaches into their programs.
