This case study explores how the Zoonotic Behaviors Survey (ZBS) strengthened global health security efforts in Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire by providing actionable behavioral data to inform preparedness and response strategies. Designed by Breakthrough ACTION and piloted in collaboration with One Health stakeholders, the ZBS helps standardize behavioral indicators and supports effective risk communication and community engagement around priority zoonotic diseases. The case study is a valuable resource for public health professionals, behavioral scientists, and policymakers seeking to apply behavioral insights to prevent zoonotic outbreaks and enhance health system resilience.
