This webinar highlighted three groundbreaking SBC innovations designed with local communities and health practitioners:

  • Tuberculosis Simplified Referral: A novel approach to bridging the gap between demand and service uptake in Nigeria
  • Mother’s Time Tool: A solution that equips health workers to support new mothers’ mental health, fostering reductions in postpartum anxiety and encouraging family planning-related behaviors in Ethiopia
  • Cost Comparison Activity: An innovative approach to overcome perceptions of services being cost-prohibitive in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Institutionalizing SBC Innovations and Advocacy

This webinar highlighted the significant results and lessons learned from institutionalizing social and behavior change (SBC) at the regional, national, and community levels. Key presentations included:

  • Elevating the Power of SBC in Ouagadougou Partnership Countries: Tailored SBC technical assistance has contributed to Ouagadougou Partnership countries in achieving their ambitious goals, improving SBC integration into national plans, and increasing investments at regional and country levels.
  • Niger’s National Innovation Team: The Sahel RISE II initiative’s National Innovation Team propelled SBC forward in Niger by enhancing capacity-building and fostering localized solutions.
  • Communities Lead the Way in Liberia: Liberia’s Health Advocacy Committees made a remarkable impact on health outcomes through targeted SBC interventions in collaboration with county governments while transitioning into independent civil society organizations.
