This brief introduces the Zoonotic Behaviors Survey (ZBS), an innovative tool Breakthrough ACTION developed to close the behavioral data gap in zoonotic disease prevention. Designed for governments, implementers, and One Health stakeholders, the ZBS provides modular, adaptable data collection instruments to understand and address behaviors that influence zoonotic disease spillover and spread. The resource outlines how ZBS contributes to preparedness, response, and global health security through baseline measurement, monitoring, and evidence generation. Country case examples from Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire demonstrate real-world application and impact.
