By partnering with youth and youth-serving organizations, the project enhances young people’s capacity to affect social change within their communities and beyond. From these collaborations, social and behavior change approaches are designed to address factors uniquely impacting young people’s lives. The project’s scope encompasses established issues, such as vaccine and family planning uptake, and a growing emphasis on diversity equity and inclusion. For instance, recent initiatives address youth mental health and more effectively involving sexual and gender minorities in family planning and reproductive health programs. Through these efforts, Breakthrough ACTION empowers young people to drive positive change in their communities and ensures their voices are heard in critical public health discussions, ultimately fostering more inclusive and effective interventions.
