The project focuses on promoting essential health, nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, governance, and health-seeking behaviors, while addressing the social and gender norms that obstruct the adoption of these behaviors. Collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health, local NGOs, and USAID implementing partners, the project supports the enhancement of health services and strengthening of health systems. The project also provides technical assistance to bolster agricultural production and family nutrition through nutrition-sensitive agriculture activities, focusing on capacity building in social and behavior approaches and methodologies.

It also promotes gender social norms and positive masculinities to improve development in Guatemala’s Quiché and Huehuetenango communities.
