Health Communication
Pre-COVID, Alôvida, the Mozambique Ministry of Health’s (MoH) telephone hotline, responded to approximately 300 calls per day. By mid-March 2020, the call volume grew to 750 a day. With this increase and new COVID-19-related questions, Alôvida’s operators were facing significant challenges. Thanks to many years of health communications experience and past support in integrating Alôvida within the MoH, Breakthrough ACTION was able to quickly provide the team with the expertise they needed to expand operations.
