Why we do this work
Breakthrough ACTION sustained the growth of Women’s Empowerment Groups in Nigeria to reach a total of 242 active groups with 4,708 members. The women’s groups raised $18,759 for health emergencies and small business needs. Participation in these groups strengthens women’s capacity to discuss health and social issues with their spouses and other community members and improves their economic standing.
