Breakthrough RESEARCH gathered, analyzed, and shared evidence on the costs and impacts of social and behavior change (SBC) interventions, making the case that investing in social and behavior change is crucial for improving public health. This approach included synthesizing existing evidence, generating new evidence through cost-effectiveness analyses, and fostering evidence generation by others, including developing social and behavior change resources and tools to support implementing partners.

Guidelines for Costing
Costing is the process of data collection and analysis for estimating the cost of a health intervention. High-quality cost data on SBC are critical not only for developing budgets, planning, and assessing program proposals, but can also feed into advocacy, program prioritization, and agenda setting. To better serve these data needs and increase the quantity and quality of SBC costing information, Breakthrough RESEARCH developed costing guidelines for SBC health interventions.
