Join Breakthrough RESEARCH and engage with fellow researchers and program implementers in an interactive session, where you will get a chance to discuss a framework for assessing provider behavior change programming, share recent research experiences on this topic, and discuss priorities for social and behavior change research and learning.

Rubber, Meet Road: Testing a New Male Engagement Advocacy Tool
On the eve of the Fifth International Conference on Family Planning, Breakthrough ACTION invites you to explore its newest Advancing Male Engagement in Family Planning and Reproductive Health: An Advocacy Tool. During this session, participants will learn about the tool and test first-hand its proposed approach to advocating for increased investment and implementation among local government, donor, and family planning and reproductive health program implementers.

Calls for integration of social and behavior change programs across health and development sectors abound. Interactive Provider Behavior Change Laboratory
Breakthrough ACTION invites you to step inside the laboratory of an applied behavioral economist through an interactive workshop exploring provider behavior change.

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

From Improv to Empathy: Exploring and Enhancing Provider Behaviors
During this interactive, lighthearted session hosted byBreakthrough ACTION, participants will get a firsthand look at, and a chance to try, successful approaches to improving provider behavior, including mobile-based video skits, role-play, and values clarifications exercises. Participants will join family planning leaders to discuss their perspectives on the challenge of addressing provider attitudes and share reflections on these alternative approaches that can help improve rights-based counseling.

Springboard’s Biggest User competition will kick off on Monday, November 12. Members of the ICFP Springboard Groupwill compete for prizes during the conference.
