In collaboration with the government and other stakeholders, the project seeks to enhance the adoption of malaria interventions through contextually appropriate social and behavior change activities in the Northern regions. The project aims to improve community engagement in malaria prevention, support health worker behaviors conducive to effective malaria service delivery and build the capacity of the National Malaria Control Program and other partners for social and behavior change at various levels. Additionally, Breakthrough ACTION partners with national programs to address behaviors associated with priority zoonotic diseases and mitigate public health threats through risk communication and community engagement activities. The project’s comprehensive approach also extends to supporting the Ministry of Health’s efforts to inform and motivate the population regarding COVID-19 vaccination and responding to the WHO-declared mpox public health emergency by enhancing community engagement and disseminating critical health information.
