Breakthrough ACTION has worked to field the Malaria Behavior Survey in Benin to inform the country’s malaria prevention and control strategies through a social and behavior change lens. The project also works on Global Health Security specifically on risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) to increase the capacity of Beninese institutions to effectively address high-risk behaviors associated with priority zoonotic diseases and other emerging threats and to mitigate the impact of future public health events.
Focus On
Malaria Behavior Survey
The Malaria Behavior Survey utilizes a behavior change theory framework to evaluate a range of factors, including knowledge, perceived risks, and efficacy beliefs concerning malaria. The results of the survey will make a significant contribution to Benin’s ongoing efforts to combat malaria through informed social and behavior change strategies.
