The project focuses on advancing multichannel communication strategies to promote COVID-19 vaccine uptake, counteract misinformation, and engage communities in dialogue about COVID-19 and its vaccines. Additionally, the Global Health Security program aims to mitigate the spread of priority zoonotic diseases through the One Health approach, emphasizing improved coordination and capacity for social and behavior change risk communication and community engagement activities. Breakthrough ACTION’s efforts include developing curricula for training health professionals, facilitating workshops to evaluate project impacts, and conducting comprehensive social and behavior change campaigns to support health promotion at national and sub-national levels. These activities collectively aim to strengthen Guinea’s health systems, foster emergency preparedness, and encourage community engagement in health and vaccination initiatives.

Outcome Harvesting
In 2023, Breakthrough ACTION Guinea conducted outcome harvesting to evaluate the success of its zoonotic disease portfolio, including COVID-19. outcome harvesting is a novel methodology that, through the review of existing program documentation, identifies both intended and unintended results of a program’s efforts.
